I assumed the first edition of my arms in July of 2019, after working intently with members of the Heraldry Community Discord server to refine both my ideas and understanding of Heraldry. I say that was the “first edition”, because prior to March 2025 the Crest on top of my arms was a Phrygian cap Gules charged with a cockade Or, Azure, Or. I decided in February of 2025 to finally change this, as I was never fully satisfied with the double-representation of the Phrygian cap and overall awkwardness of its construction. In March I finally completed and assumed the second edition of my arms, which are the same ones I bear today.
The emblazonments presented below are made by wonderful people from across the Heraldry Community Discord and beyond. You do not need to ask permission to emblazon my arms, and I encourage anyone to take a stab at it! All I ask is that if you do emblazon them outside of a mutual commissioning agreement, that you freely share the final result with me for my own personal collection.
If you do not want your arms included on this roll, or anywhere else except for my personal collection, please let me know!
Symbolism
My arms bring together many different aspects of my life and belief. On my escutcheon, the separation between the azure field and argent chief stands in as the separation between my grounded pragmatism and upward-looking idealism.
For my charges, I chose to associate myself closely with the fox, both because of our red hair and our shared personality traits of being careful, intelligent, and curious. I selected the torch to symbolize my belief and commitment to a free and liberal society, as well as my fiery passion to better my community. The Phrygian cap on the fox represents my personal and academic study of history, especially American history, and political science.
For the crest, the beehive is tied to my upbringing in the state and culture of Utah. The entwined cherry branches represent my growth as a person around that upbringing and the passion I have for furthering myself and those around me. Cherry blossoms specifically also tie to the history of Washington, D.C., again tying back to my commitments as a citizen and interest in American history.

Singen Sie tapfer! (Sing Bravely!)The above emblazonment is what I consider the best representation of my arms for broad reference. You are by no means beholden to the styles or content of these emblazonments, and in fact I encourage anyone who wishes to emblazon my arms to be as creative, funny, clever, or artistic as they'd like to be!
